Juilliard Drama Grad with a Bay Area Soul

 

A graduate of The Juilliard School's Drama Division, Gavi brings a unique blend of artistic training from New York City combined West Coast spirit to her craft. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Gavi's childhood was filled with creative exploration, fostered by an upbringing that embraced imagination and social responsibility. 

 

Gavi's intellectual curiosity extends beyond the stage. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Barnard College, Columbia University with a degree in English Literature. Ask her about her favorite poem, Meditation at Lagunitas by Robert Hass, and she'll be happy to delve into the power of language. As Kristin Linklater said, “when words are seen, tasted, touched, felt, they penetrate and break up patterns of thought. They reach into emotions, memories, associations, and they spark the imagination. They bring life.” 

 

Gavi is a dedicated life long learner. She continues to hone her skills in various dance styles at Zohar Dance Company (jazz, modern, ballet) and ODC (tap).

 

Gavi is thankful that she gets to live with Watson, her fluffy rescue dog (pictures of Watson available upon request).
